Every Spring and Fall, my excitement grows in anticipation for the next Target designer collaboration. Although Spring's Lilly Pulitzer collaboration was exciting, it turned out absolutely insane. That's why I actually like it better when Target doesn't collaborate with such a widely known designer, because it gives me hope that I'll actually have a chance to purchase something (remember this?). Debuting on September 27th, Target will be collaborating with Adam Lippes, and I could not be more excited! The collection is filled with various plaid and windowpane prints, all in perfectly cozy fabrics. 

But that's not even the best part! Target is completely making over their store starting in late August, and turning everything plaid! From sweaters, to dog beds, and even soda cans, you will see a wave of plaid plastered all over Target.

Even though trends come and go, I tend to gravitate toward certain ones year after year. Below are the four things I seem to rock every single Fall.

Vintage Coat

Ok, so a vintage piece of clothing can technically be rocked all year long. However, there's something so beautiful about a classic vintage coat that can inspire a whole outfit. Just make sure the quality is great, and do not be afraid to take it to get tailored!

 Every Fall, I get really excited about being able to change up my wardrobe and play with different patterns and textures. One of the styles I always tend to gravitate toward when the weather gets cooler is Mod. There's something so classic about the structured style that seems to solidify a change in season from the loose and flowing fabrics of Summer.

Here in California, the drought we're facing is no joke! Every little bit of water conservation helps. Because of this, my mother decided it was time to retire her waterfall fountain in her backyard. She told me she was going to throw it out, but my new found love of succulents and dessert landscaping gave me an idea. I was going to help her turn her old waterfall fountain into a succulent garden! It was so fun to pick out all of the fun succulents, and beyond easy to throw some dirt into the old fountain and plant away. I just love the results :)
