Haute Sauce

This past weekend, I finally managed to get out of town and make a trip down to Palm Springs. It was an amazing weekend filled with lots of great food and champagne. Of course, my favorite part had to be stopping at the World Famous Cabazon Dinosaurs on the way back. It wouldn't be a trip to the desert without vising these friendly-looking dinos!

Have you ever walked out of your front door and felt like a different person because of your outfit? I definitely felt like a hip poet on her way to a poetry slam when I stepped out this morning. It was nice to get a surge of confidence with my new alter ego!

Have you ever stopped to really look around a basic shopping center you shop in all the time? I never did until the blue sky was shining against the beautiful mountains behind my favorite Target store. It inspired me to go to a few of my other usual places to really stop and explore the beauty.

Although I currently live in an apartment and am in no shape to remodel anything or go over-the-top with decorating, I still love to glance at interior inspiration from time to time. A girl can dream, can't she?

One of my favorite things to do when I'm visiting my Mom back home, is to to go across the street to my old Elementary school and walk my dogs. It's so much fun to be on that campus as an adult and think back to the time when I was only 10. Plus, there's so many good things for the dogs to sniff!
