save vs splurge

by - January 26, 2015

I was browsing online the other day when I came across a beautiful pink Céline bag. After mopping up my drool, I realized that the sale price was a whopping $3,918.04! Not gonna happen. That's when I discovered an inexpensive yet eerily similar option for under $75! So what would you choose? Would you drain your bank account for the real deal, or would you opt for the beautiful wannabe?

Thanks for reading <3

  5. If you had spare money and absolutely no responsibility then yes, if a wannabe, it has to be real genuine leather and 1 to 1 looks :)

  7. As much as I love the Celine (if you follow on me on instagram @jjharding0 you know I confronted this very decision recently at a Nordstrom!!), I would never drain my bank account for a bag! The reality is, my bank account is healthy but those savings are for travel and a nest egg! I would totally save a reasonable amount like around 700 for a quality staple bag that isn't immediately recognized ( to avoid knock offs impersonating) but is still classic and structured shape like the Celine, and love it to death (literally!). Love this post girlie and the questions posed! P.S. think you would adore the Pleated to Perfection outfit post we shared on the blog today!

  13. When it's such an iconic bag, I'd probably save up and splurge on the original. I'm not a big fan of "lookalikes"!
