Wow! I feel like it's been FOREVER since I've made a blog post. It's been absolutely awful being away, but I'm finally getting settled in at my new job, and this upcoming weekend I am moving into my new place. That should put me back on a regular posting routine in no time! I really wanted my first post after my blogging vacation to be an outfit post, but I just couldn't resist sharing this awesome day I had, with you guys! I went with my aunt to a winery down the street from her house. It was shocking that she didn't know about its existence until that day! We picked grapes off the vine, stomped them until they turned to juice, and watched the whole process before they got turned into wine! The best part? Sampling the finished product, of course.

Whoever said mixing prints is not OK, is a very sad person, indeed! I find absolutely nothing wrong with it, as long as a cohesive color palate is in play. But even then, I guess it doesn't really matter. Do what you want! That's what fashion is all about.

Have you ever thrown an outfit together, and had it remind you of one of your favorite drinks? Or am I just crazy? Actually, don't answer that! Well, anyway, I couldn't help but crave an iced green tea after staring down at my neon shorts all day. Naturally, I rushed straight to Starbucks after work and got one. Who said food and fashion don't mix?

I'm usually not one for "boho" looks, but when I saw this hat on sale at Forever 21 a few weeks back, I was inspired to create something far out of my comfort zone. Being able to match it to one of my favorite lipsticks definitely helped boost my confidence! So tell me, how do you feel about boho looks?

I nearly died the other day when I walked into Target and saw this sweater on the rack. It instantly reminded me on this Kate Spade sweater that I had previously been dying over. Don't you just love finding cheaper versions of things you absolutely love?

For once in my life, I have my own desk! The only problem is, it's UGLY. Brown wood, mismatched office supplies, and a file cabinet full of basic manilla envelopes. I just can't stand it! Because of this, I decided to look for cute office supplies today while I was on my lunch break. It was then that I discovered the best news I have ever discovered (almost). Kate Spade makes office supplies! That's right, that Kate Spade. I quickly loaded up my cart with all of the cutest gold and glittery supplies, and will continue to stare longingly at them until I receive my first paycheck!

Have you ever loved a shirt so much, you find yourself wearing it over and over again? That's definitely the situation with this shirt! I was so happy to wear this top to work and then come come and take some outfit photos, that I didn't realize until later that I had just work it in an outfit post not long ago. I guess when you love something enough, you can wear it forever!

Yesterday was my first day at my new job, and I almost had a panic attack when I couldn't figure out what to wear! Thank goodness offices tend to be freezing, because it allowed me to wear my beautiful new jacket I picked up over the weekend. Nothing tops a great first day like a kick-butt outfit!

This past weekend, my amazingly hilarious parents came to town to visit me. It was by far the best weekend of the whole summer! We took a tour of my old work place, Warner Bros Studios, went out to many amazing restaurants, and spent the whole day lounging on cabanas on a private beach in Malibu. All I can say is, my parents need to come visit more often!

My shopping addiction is in full swing again, now that No Buy July is over! The other day, I had to run to Target in my local mall, and on a whim decided to pop in to Zara. I am so glad I did! They were having a huge sale, and I found this dress shoved in the depths of the clearance racks. It was only $25! I couldn't believe it! I swear to you guys, it is even more gorgeous in person that it is in these photos. I am so in love!

Ok, I know, I know, another romper. I have an addiction, OK? I feel like I come home with a new one every time I go shopping. It could be worse though. I could have an addiction to hideous ruffled dresses! Seriously, though, I am in love with this romper! Not only is it super comfortable and affordable, it can be dressed up for day and night! This is obviously my day version, but who knows, you might see this romper again very soon ;)

The other day, my boyfriend and I were taking a walk down the street from his apartment when we discovered a hiking trail. On a whim, we decided to hike up to the top of the mountain, and discovered an amazing view. I just couldn't resist taking some outfit pictures up there! Don't you just love exploring new places right in your own backyard?

Who doesn't love a warm cup of coffee on a cold and rainy morning? I know I sure do! The weather has been really strange here in Southern California, lately. I tried to bring the summer sunshine with my new pineapple printed shirt, but unfortunately that didn't work. I suppose I should just sit back, relax, and enjoy the sound of the rain.

Happy August! I could not be more thrilled that "No Buy July" is over. My first order of business was to run out and finally buy a kimono. I have been craving one for the longest time! I am so happy to finally own one, and am even more happy that it was under $25! In fact, my whole outfit is from Target and was under $75! Now that's what I call a great way to start August!

I discovered this top in the back of my closet and re-fell in love with the beautiful mesh detailing on the back. I realized just hot well it worked with my most comfortable pair of shoes and my preppy light-weight jacket. Don't you just love rediscovering old pieces of clothing?

Maybe it was luck, or maybe it was fate.  Either way, I found a beautiful top at a thrift store (shocker!) and the brand just happens to be my name! That's right, this top is "Allison" brand. I must admit, I had never heard of this brand, but it certainly made me laugh!

I have a confession: I do not own anything maxi. No maxi dresses, no maxi skirts, nothing! I have just never found anything maxi that was long enough to cover my long legs. The other day, my aunt showed me this dress that she had purchased, and I fell in love with the print. I was scared to try it on, because I didn't think it would fit right, but to my surprise, it did! I now have full confidence that i will find a maxi piece of my own very soon!

Lately, I've been seeing kimonos everywhere. I'm dying to purchase one, but I sadly cannot because I decided to participate in "No Buy July." That's why when I pulled out this scarf from the back of my closet, I got the brilliant idea to wear it as a kimono! It's not the same, but it has a similar affect. Plus, I didn't have to buy a single thing!

In case you couldn't tell my the above picture, I am currently craving floppy hats! That's right, I am totally and completely obsessed with them! I where them often and own quite a few, but I can't seem to get enough. These are the ones I've had my eye on for awhile now.

The other day, I was rummaging through racks of clothing at a local thrift store when I discovered this dress. I thought it was cute, and it fit well, so I bought it. It wasn't until I got home that I realized just what this dress is. It's a vintage Louis Féraud dress from the 1980s! Louis Féraud is a well-known French fashion designer from the 70s and 80s. I already loved the dress, but knowing its rich history makes me love it even more! It gave me another reminder of why I love thrift stores so much.

Who doesn't love a bright and colorful outfit? I know I sure do! That's why when I received these shorts from the Lookbook Store, I was so extremely excited! They have a comfortable and stretchy waistline, and the colors sure bring a smile to my face. Also, how cute are those pom poms? I just adore everything about these shorts!

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you've probably noticed by now that I am absolutely obsessed with rompers. Well, I have found the romper to rule all other rompers! This beautiful lacy number from Lookbook Store is one of the most glamorous and gorgeous pieces I've ever seen. I wore it to a party the other night and received numerous compliments! Who doesn't love that?

I found this top at a local thrift store and didn't even wait to try it on before purchasing it. I don't know what it is about it that I love so much. Maybe it's that it's just so unique and different from any other tops that I own. Maybe it's that it looks more expensive than the dollar I paid for it. Either way, I absolutely love it and wear it all the time!

I would like to introduce to you the power of thrift stores. Not that you don't already know, but still! My outfit is almost entirely made up of thrift store finds! That's right, my adorable dress and stylish jacket are both from thrift stores. I know I've mentioned before that people have told me to limit my outfits to only one thrift piece, but I say SCREW THAT! If it works, it shouldn't matter where you found it. After all, no one will ever know. Unless of course you tell them on a fashion blog, haha!

One of my favorite things about living in Southern California, is that the sun is almost always out.  Not only do I absolutely love the sunshine, but it also makes for beautiful blog photos. When the sun is out, I definitely take advantage and bust out my camera! It makes me want to throw on my brightest and happiest colors and snap away all day long.

I know, another outfit with floral details. I can't help it, though, it's summer! Summer means lots of floral and tropical prints. At least, it does to me! I have loved this skirt from the moment I found it on a clearance rack at Target. The dark grey colors don't necessarily scream "stereotypical cheery summer print," and that's exactly why I like it. How do you feel about the overload of floral prints going on this season?

There comes a time in everyone's life, that the need for a special occasion dress emerges. I know that I've been there and scrambled at the last minute, only to settle on something I don't truly love. Don't let this happen to you! I am fortune enough to have discovered an amazing online retailer, Victoria's Dress, who specializes in anything from cocktail dresses and evening dresses, to short and long prom dresses, to bridesmaids dresses, and even wedding dresses! The best part? They are extremely affordable and chic! I highly recommend checking them out. Below are a few of my picks for a very special occasion.

Welcome to Day Four of Thrift Week. This dress (long shirt?) was a total accidental purchase. I had already tried on all of my other finds and was making my way to the register, when this piece appeared out of nowhere. It was just sitting at the end of a rack of clothes as if it was saying, "Take me home, Allie!" Well, take it home I did! There isn't a tag, so I'm not sure what brand it is, but it was less than four dollars, so no matter what it was a steal!

Welcome to Day three of Thrift Week! I was thrilled when I found this particular dress because I surprisingly don't already own a white dress. I really thought I did, but when I got home with my new thrift finds, I realized I didn't! Thank goodness I bought this one. It's originally form Ann Taylor, and I scored it for under four dollars!

Welcome to Day Two of Thrift Week! This dress was an amazing find for me, because I just know it was expensive for the first owner to purchase it. It's a Barney's dress. That's right, a Barney's New York dress that I scored for less than $5! Have I mentioned how much I love thrift stores?
